Lantronix has this week launched a new version of its XPrintServer  in the form of an Office Edition which has been designed specifically for business users looking for a simple iOS printing solution.
The new Lantronix XPrintServer Office Edition enables users to print directly from the native print menu of the device to network-connected printers without the need to download any applications, install software or purchase any further hardware.
The new Lantronix XPrintServer Office Edition works with both USB and Ethernet printer connections and currently supports over 4,000 top brand printers. Mak Manesh, vice president of product management for Lantronix explains

Features of the new Lantronix XPrintServer Office Edition include enhanced printer-user management, including printer usage rights, security and control over printers and user groups, Proxy Server Support, global save and restore functionality, and the ability to now export print logs, remote authentication / Active Directory support and automatic printer discovery and provisioning.

Sceptre Launches X328BV-FHD Green

Sceptre is back with another new full HD resolution TV with a moderate 32-inch size. This particular TV is designed to be very green with an estimated energy cost operated for year of only $11. The TVs backlight is also rated for 50,000 hours of use, which is more than five years nonstop.



The TV boasts a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a 60 Hz refresh rate. The TV also has a contrast ratio of 5000:1 and features a 3-D Comb Filter. The TV supports 5.1 digital sound and is rated for 400cd/m2 brightness.
Connectivity options include three HDMI ports, a single USB port, and a single VGA port. The onboard sound system has two speakers with 10 W of power. The TV is wall mountable and is available now online and in retail stores for $499.

LG’s 29-inch EA93 21:9 ultrawidescreen monitor launches

There have been several attempts to get people excited about “ultrawidescreen” 21:9 aspect ratio HDTVs, but they haven’t really taken off. LG is hoping to change this by bringing the formfactor to the desktop. That’s where the new EA93 UltraWide LCD monitor comes into play.

 

It is 29-inches with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,080, and uses the extra horizontal space to display not just cinema-style movies, but also side by side video from different sources or up to four different views at once. It does this with the aid of built-in software.It also sports DVI Dual Link, DisplayPort, or HDMI with MHL support. This monitor is launching in Korea this month.

More OUYA Development Kits Now Available

If you missed out on the first wave of development kits for the unique and popular open source gaming console the OUYA, that recently raised more than $8.5 million on Kickstarter. You will be pleased to know that OUYA is now taking pre-orders for more development kits priced at $800 each.


OUYS’s open source Android gaming console is still set to make the jump from concept to retail in March 2013, with the latest development kits expected to ship in January 2013.




If you were lucky enough to pledge on Kickstarter for a development kit you can expect to receive yours in December. OUYA explains on their website:
“Pre-order an OUYA Dev Kit for early delivery — January 2013. The kit includes an OUYA console, two controllers and our ODK. Test your games and apps on OUYA hardware before the March 2013 worldwide release!”
To recap the Ouya is a hackable, Android-based gaming console, which was priced at $99 on Kickstarter and can support up to four controllers and  has partnered with the likes of OnLive Gaming, XBMC, Square Enix and Vevo to name just a few.

Samsung 840 Pro SSD Comes with Assassin’s Creed III

 

Samsung has announced a special package for its 840 Pro SSD. The drive promises to increase the performance of your computer notebook and comes in 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB models. This SSD will work in notebook or desktop computers.

 

 

Samsung is offering the 840 Pro with a full digital version of Assassins Creed III. The drive uses a SATA 6.0 interface and promises sequential read speeds of up to 540 MB per second. The drive uses triple-level cell Toggle DDR2 memory.
It also has a triple-core MDX controller and supports 256-get AES encryption. The SSD is available now at an unknown price. “Our new 840 Pro SSDs allow gamers to experience the ultimate in gaming performance by booting their systems quickly, and loading games and other apps in a flash,” said Mike Abary, Senior Vice President, Consumer Business Division IT Product Marketing, Samsung Electronics America. “We’re excited to offer ‘Assassin’s Creed III’ to gaming fans with the new 840 Pro SSD, which should make for a real improvement in gameplay.”
