IntelliPaper Is a Paper USB Drive

IntelliPaper Is a Paper USB Drive

I’ve seen some thin flash drives that use USB ports for power over the years. I think the thinnest of ever seen maybe the new intelliPaper flash drive that recently launched. These little flash drives put the USB connectors and the storage chips in a thin piece of paper.

I think it’s impressive that they can fit NAND flash storage and the USB contacts onto a normal piece of paper. This opens the door for people to be able to use the little flash drives as wedding invitations, event tickets, gift cards, and just about anything else you can think of.
The company behind intelliPaper is seeking to raise $300,000 to bring the product to market through Indiegogo. Through the funding program if you pledge at least $100 you get your own USB writer and a stack of 10 of the little paper flash drives ranging in capacity from 8 to 32 MB. Note, that capacity is in megabytes so these are small capacity devices.

Evleaks has leaked a smartphone allegedly from ZTE, going by the name of Grand X Pro. Unfortunately, we don’t have many details about the phone. However, we can determine some things from the photo itself.

It’s obviously running Android and it is on the large side, probably around 4.7-inches or so. And it looks nice and slim. That’s all we have on this one.
It might be a more advanced version of the Grand X LTE, launched last year, which features a 4.3-inch display with a 960 x 540 resolution, a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, and Android 4.0.

Update Facebook with Fingerprints

Everyone’s fingerprints are unique which is why they are used so often in crime investigations. Another use for your fingerprints would be biometric payment systems, and a similar technology is now being used at a hotel so that it will update your Facebook profile automatically.

The company who owns the hotel wants to install touchscreens throughout the hotel, where users will be presented with a selection of actions that will appear on their Facebook profiles. Guests can access their account quickly simply by placing their finger on a biometric sensor. It’s good for the hotel and convenient for you.
After that, you can capture a photo, update your current location and talk about the hotel event that you are attending there and then. This system is expected to launch next year.

Criminals steal $1.5 million worth of iPad Mini's

Posted by Unknown | 11/15/2012 11:54:00 pm Categories:

The iPad mini may be small, but the demand for the device has people doing crazy things, just like other Apple devices. It just took two guys with a truck to easily steal 3,600 iPad minis that had just arrived at JFK Airport. There are 3,600 Apple customers who are very disappointed right now.

It looks like these two theives managed to load two pallets before an airport worker returned from dinner and started staring at them in a disapproving manner. I wonder how many more they might have made away with. The iPads have been estimated to cost about $1.5 million.
People will do some very stupid things when it comes to Apple products.

CyanogenMod 10 Stable Builds Released

If you have been patiently waiting for the release of the CyanogenMod 10, you willl be pleased to learn that after numerous nightly and monthly builds, a stable version is now ready and has been released.
The latest CyanogenMod 10 stable release is now available to download for the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE, LG Optimus Black, and the Samsung Galaxy S III (both Verizon and Sprint models).

Whats Next: Android 4.2 received the OTA treatment yesterday from the powers that be and today JBQ pushed the buttons for the source to hit the AOSP repos. We have begun the task of defining what is new, what has changed, and what CM features should stay (or go). We already anticipate removing the CM enhancements to the Clock app (Google made their own), and enhancing the Quick Settings (most likely not porting over the Notification Power Widgets). Other areas include our Profiles code, lockscreen weather and calendar eventsand the larger effects of the multi-user support. However, these assessments are preliminary, and we’ll learn more as the merge process continues.
Android 4.2 will become CyanogenMod 10.1 and we will provide an update on our Google+ when nightlies with the 4.2 code begin.”
